Our mission is to make that decision simple. For each app we review, you get a clear buildability score, what you can and can't recreate, a copy-paste build prompt, suitable AI builders, and cheaper alternatives when building isn't the right move.
If you've heard of vibecoding - building software by describing what you want in plain language and letting an AI write the code - this site is a beginner-friendly take on that idea, focused on real subscriptions people actually pay for.
We only publish apps we've intentionally reviewed. We don't auto-generate pages for every search query, and we don't gate build prompts behind an email signup.
Why build your own?
Software subscriptions add up fast. Many tools charge monthly for a long list of features when most people only need a small slice of what they offer.

Who made this?
Can I Build My Own? was created for people who are comfortable with ChatGPT but don't necessarily know how to code - freelancers, founders, creators, and anyone tired of stacking subscriptions.
After looking at AI tool roundups and “build anything” marketing, we wanted something more useful: a decision tool first, content second. Honest “keep paying for it” answers matter as much as the green lights.
We are not affiliated with the apps we review or with any AI builder. Affiliate relationships may appear where relevant, but they do not influence Buildability Scores.
